![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Biography: Hattie Coppard127 Rathcoole Gardens Hattie Coppard is an artist whose projects involve assembling teams including writers, lighting designers, architects, horticulturalists, rope-makers and others. She has made temporary and permanent public art commissions all over the country, receiving wide media coverage. She is the Director of Snug & Outdoor, a company of artists whose work involves designing innovative play spaces which grow out of creative consultation with those who use them.

Selected public art projects THE MAIDSTONE SHEEP. An 8 ton sculpture made with 3000 flowering plants and an integrated irrigation system, standing on the High Street in Maidstone, Kent. THE IMAGINATION STATION. A week long sound, light and video installation in a fish stall on Mare Street that investigated the sense of place that exists in the heart of Hackney. WHITECHAPEL THREADS. A 5m high bronze sculpture commemorating the garment industry in this area of London and marking the entrance to Brick Lane Market. THE BOROUGH BREATHTAKER. The all-over livery design for the Windsor and Maidenhead mobile library. We ran poetry and art workshops with four local schools exploring what a library is for. THE HACKNEY CLOCKTOWER. A new clocktower and landscaping for the entrance to Hackney Central Station. |
