Lisa Watts is a performance and visual artist living in Sheffield.
She has performed at the Serpentine Gallery, London, Live Art
Space, Feren's Art Gallery, Hull, The Bluecoat Gallery Liverpool,
The Green Room, Manchester, Prema Arts Centre, Gloucestershire,
Expo festival, Nottingham, as well as Westwerk Gallery, Hamburg
and Accidental Gallery, Dublin and most recently on the A.C.E.
allotment project, 'Bloom', Birmingham. Her film work has been
shown internationally including, Helsinki, Finland, Germany, Italy,
Manchester, London, Leeds, Bradford, 'Eat My Shorts' comedy film
festival, Montreal and broadcast on Spanish T. V.
Watts has shown her visual art work in galleries such as Leeds
City Art Gallery, Leeds, Site Gallery, Sheffield, and York City
Art Gallery. One of her visual art exhibitions, titled 'Muscles',
1998, in collaboration with artist Clare Charnley, was a large
photographic, digital imaging installation. Circular, continuous
images on columns were installed in the gallery. The work was
created for Photo 98, Yorkshire and Humberside Year of Photography
and Digital Imaging.

Arts Co-ordination
Watts has initiated, fund raised and directed projects including
public art works, site specific performances and residencies.
She has also worked as the Temporary Education officer at the
Site Gallery, Sheffield and as the Liaison Officer for the 'Lovebytes'
festival, digital public arts festival, Sheffield.
Community art work and workshops
Over the last five years Watts has worked with art in the community
in many situations facilitating performance, photography, video
and digital imaging workshops to produce performances and static
works. Most recently, 1998, she has worked at Leeds General Infirmary,
Leeds, as an artist in residence for five months facilitating
workshops devising images from video, photography, and digital
imaging to produce a permanent exhibition. The work titled "The
Boardroom" was in collaboration with Property and Support
Services staff. Also, in 1998 she worked at East Leeds Family
Centre, Leeds, working with fourteen to fifteen year old pupils
who do not attend school.
Lecturing
In 1997 Sheffield Hallam University, Sheffield, Fine Art, Media,
a series of seven week workshops of sound and performance. In
1995-96 Wolverhampton University, Wolverhampton, Art for Society,
a part time lecturer over one academic year. In 1994 University
of West of England, Bristol, Art and Social Context, visiting
lecturer. In 1993 Humberside University, Hull, visiting lecturer.
In 1994 Claredon College, Manchester, visiting lecturer.
