Policies/Guidance: Strategies: Borough of Poole
The strategy has been developed in response to the Fundamental Performance Review of the Arts Service. It builds upon and develops the Borough's Percent for Art Policy and supports the implementation of the Cultural Plan and the Master Plan for the regeneration of the Central Area of the town. The strategy explores the ways in which public art can be effectively employed to fulfil Council objectives within areas of environmental, social, educational, cultural and economic policy. The principles outlined in the strategy are intended as a general guide to the future development of public art in Poole. However it also includes specific objectives, and an action plan for the next three years, with integrated monitoring, is currently being drawn up to implement the actions recommended in the strategy.
