Curatorial Assistant, Liverpool Biennial
Deadline: February 10, 2012, 5:00 pm
Curatorial Assistant, Liverpool Biennial
Liverpool Biennial is the UK’s leading and most captivating international festival of contemporary art, attracting 628,000 visitors and transforming the city into a dynamic public art space. With an emphasis on commissioning ambitious and challenging new work, the scale of our programme means that for ten weeks, every two years, Liverpool offers the largest concentration of contemporary art in the UK and one of the largest in the world. As well as temporary commissions for the festival, we work year-round on long-term projects, engaging communities across the region and profiling these through the festival platform.
We are seeking an exceptional and motivated individual to contribute to, and learn from, the team that will deliver Liverpool Biennial 2012 (15 September to 25 November).
The Curatorial Assistant will support the Biennial Exhibition Curator and Projects Curator in developing and delivering the exhibition, both directly and through our partners. This involves assisting in the production and delivery of the public realm commissions, exhibition administration, and the co-ordination of logistics, transport, security, registration and insurance of artists and individual artworks.
Candidates can obtain an application pack by emailing Zainab Djavanroodi: jobs@biennial.comby or by telephoning 0151 709 7444.
Application deadline is 5pm on 10 February 2012.
Interviews will be held in Liverpool on 24 February 2012
