Fierce Festival 2014

Date uploaded: August 18, 2014

Fierce have announced a limited number of multi-show passes are available for their 2014 programme of events. The festival stretches across the city of Birmingham over ten days from the 2nd to the 12th of October 2014 and this year will include the only UK dates of The Last Adventures by Forced Entertainment and UK premieres by Miguel Gutierrez and Dana Michel.

Fierce is an international festival of live art, which embraces theatre, dance, music, installations, activism, digital practices and parties. Fierce reimagines the city with performances in out-of-the-ordinary spaces. This year they include a mechanic’s garage, former metal factory and Moseley’s Grade 2 listed swimming baths. At the same time Fierce presents work at venues such as Warwick Arts Centre, DanceXchange and mac Birmingham.

This year activities are concentrated over two weekends. Installations, exhibitions and talks are dotted throughout the week including new commissions by Sarah Jane Norman (AU) and Tania El Khoury (LB/UK).

A limited number of multi-show passes are available for Weekend 1 (3rd to the 5th of October) or Weekend 2 (10th to the 12th of October) of the festival. The passes represent a saving of at least £25 on a weekend’s activities.

A multi-show pass is the easiest way to see the maximum festival programme, on a guided itinerary.
