Five projects including two collaborations have been selected for a six-month research and development period, supported by Jerwood Visual Arts (JVA) and Forestry Commission England.

Juan Delgado, Adam James, Amanda Loomes, collaborators Chris Watson and Iain Pate and artist duo Semiconductor (Ruth Jarman and Joe Gerhardt) will each receive a £2,000 research and development fee and be supported to expand on the concept of their proposal and explore potential sites through this phase.

The research process will culminate in a curated exhibition which will take place at Jerwood Space from 15th January - 23rd February 2014. It will present the research and work from the artists and explore broader contemporary debates around critical practice and art in the public realm and the environment. During the exhibition, one project will be selected by the above panel to receive a £30,000 commissioning budget to realise their proposal.
