The annual Marsh Award for Public Sculpture 2009

Date uploaded: February 2, 2009

The annual Marsh Award for Public Sculpture is awarded to a work of permanent public sculpture erected in the UK or Ireland. The definition of public sculpture is loose, but the location must be openly visible to the public without having to enter a building or gain prior permission. The creator of the winning sculpture will win a small cash prize and the prestigious Marsh Award for Public Sculpture, presented at the Whitechapel Art Gallery in London by HRH The Duke of Gloucester in November.

To qualify for entry in the 2009 competition nominated sculptures must have been unveiled between 30 October 2008 and 30 April 2009. Deadline for nominations is 30 April 2009.
