Beth Derbyshire's 'The Ark' is a moving sculpture comprising a wooden structure resembling the typical terraced housing of Pennine Lancashire, placed upon a narrow boat. The boat will be travelling along the Leeds – Liverpool canal from 23rd May – 8th June 2013.

Keith Wilson work is the second Sparked exhibition
Keith Wilson's exhibition as part of the 'Sparked' series at The View Tube near Pudding Mill Lane opened on 18th April and runs until 19th June 2013. 'Sparked' is part of the View Tube’s Art Programme and is designed to help you find out about the local, national and international artists that have made permanent artworks in the future Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

A new contemporary artwork by Liverpool Art Prize winner Robyn Woolston has been installed on the banks of Ullswater. ‘Watchtree’ (2013) is one of a series of new artworks on display in trees and woodland across the Eden Valley in Cumbria, as part of Eden Arts’ CANOPY exhibition.

Liam Curtin's Meccano Bridge opens in Bolton
A giant "Meccano-style" footbridge in Bolton, Greater Manchester - designed by artist Liam Curtin - was officially opened on Saturday 6th April 2013. The £90,000 steelwork bridge crosses the Manchester, Bolton and Bury Canal at Nob End in Little Lever, Bolton.

Lucy + Jorge Orta: Le Chemin des Fées - Spirits of the Huveaune
In honor of Marseille-Provence 2013 European Capital of Culture and Fondation de Frances Nouveaux commanditaire, Lucy + Jorge Orta present 'Le Chemin des Fées - Spirits of the Huveaune', a 30km parcours of five sculptures that map the presence of the Huveaune coastal river from the massif of Sainte Baume to the ancient port of Marseille, Massilia. Three new Spirits will be unveiled on 6th April 2013.

Patrick Staff – A Factory As It Might Be (Bournville)
'A Factory as it Might Be' is an exhibition and ongoing research project conceived by artist Patrick Staff. The project takes William Morris' eponymous 1884 text on the re-imagining of the factory, and Colin Ward's response in 'The Factory We Never Had' (1994), as points of departure for reflexively examining contemporary sites of production, education and social space, and the intersections between industry and leisure, performance and congregation. CANOPY tree art project
