After the Revolution, Who Will Clean Up the Mess?

Date uploaded: July 30, 2014

'After the Revolution, Who Will Clean Up the Mess?' is a new installation / event by British artist Ellie Harrison, which is completely contingent upon the result of the Referendum on Scottish Independence on the 18th of September 2014.

The installation / event has been commission by Edinburgh Art Festival and Talbot Rice Gallery as part of the group exhibition, Counterpoint, and the 2014 Generation programme.

Four large confetti cannons have been installed in the ornate Georgian gallery space at Talbot Rice Gallary, these are linked up to a central detonation unit, the cannons will only be activated in the event of a YES vote. If a NO vote is declared, they will remain dormant for the entire duration of the exhibition and 'we will never witness what might have been...'

The public are invited to attend throughout the night on the 18th and 19th of September to witness all the action / inaction live!
Or can apply to be a special guest at the all-night Referendum Results Party at Talbot Rice Gallery, alternatively they can tune in to see the LIVE webcast of the installation in the build-up to the announcement of the result.
