Liminal; Of This Parish

The iconic Bath Abbey and its place in the geography and community in Bath is central to this powerful work by Liminal. The piece explores how The Abbey bells define the territory of a parish.
Eight recordists will stand back to back, facing in the direction of the four compass points, then walk slowly along roads and paths that lead most directly North, South, East and West. The four recordings presented in a single space will collapse the acoustic territory of the parish into a single listening space.
