Rochford Wall of Light, Rochford Hospital

Date uploaded: December 10, 2009

Commissioned by The Helium Foundation for Rochford hospital, the piece is 13.m long x 1.5m high.

Motion sensor operated, it triggers a radiating array of complex colour changing LEDs back lighting 10,000 glass marbles, to give a soothing motion for passing patients & staff.

The arrays are operated by a computer sequencer, which means the patterns are almost infinite & never repeated.

A collaboration with Graeme Crowley.
