'Plotting... arts and place', Lucy Harrison and David Pinder discuss their work.
Wednesday 14 October , 7pm-8pm
In this talks series artists discuss their work in relation to ICIA's 2009 theme: 'Plotting... arts and place'.
Lucy Harrison
To mark the opening of her exhibition, artist Lucy Harrison talks to Urban and Cultural Geographer, Dr David Pinder, Queen Mary, University of London. Harrison's photographs, bookworks, video, and printed documents investigate the subjective nature of how we experience place, memory and location. She draws on personal responses, comparing them with discarded historical material. Blurring fact and fiction, her work provokes a dialogue between past and present. Harrison is Senior Lecturer in Fine Art (Print & Digital Media) at University for the Creative Arts, Canterbury.
